BluntSnag ("BluntSnag", "we", "us") is a snagging inspection service based in London. Our correspondence address is available on request.

We provide new-build snagging inspection services and digital guides for residential property buyers in London. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use bluntsnag.co.uk.

We collect only what we need to provide our service:

• Name and email address, when you book an inspection or purchase a guide
• Phone number, when you book an inspection, so we can confirm your appointment
• Property address, so we know where to attend
• Payment information, processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• IP address and browser data, collected automatically by our hosting provider (Netlify) for security purposes

• To confirm your booking and send your inspection report
• To send your guide download link after purchase
• To contact you if there is a problem with your booking
• To respond to any queries you send us via WhatsApp or email

We do not send marketing emails. We do not call you unless you have booked an inspection and we need to discuss logistics. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following bases:

• Contract performance, to fulfil your booking or guide purchase
• Legitimate interests, to maintain the security of our systems

We share data only with the services required to operate:

• Stripe, payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Resend, transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)
• Supabase, database and file storage, hosted in the EU (supabase.com/privacy)
• Netlify, website hosting (netlify.com/privacy)
• Google, website analytics and advertising measurement, used only with your consent (policies.google.com/privacy)

We do not sell your personal data or use social media tracking.

We retain booking and order data for 7 years, as required by HMRC for tax purposes. If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us and we will remove it from our systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing
• Data portability

We use a single session cookie for admin authentication, which is strictly necessary for the website to function.

With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and Google Ads conversion measurement to see which adverts lead to a booking. These set analytics and advertising cookies.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline these cookies. Until you accept, they stay switched off and no analytics or advertising cookies are set. We use Google Consent Mode, so your choice is respected before any tag runs. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this website's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.
